October Sermon Series is about Reclaiming Christ From Bigotry.

This month’s sermon series “Not Like Us” will contrast the love, compassion, and unity ethos of Jesus with bigotry, hatred, and intolerance that many hide behind his name.

 

 

Fall Family Festival is October 26th.

Fall Family Fest is back! We are excited to invite you to our Annual Fall Family Festival on Saturday, October 26th, from 10 AM to 1 PM! Bring the whole family out and join us for a video game truck, face painting, pumpkin giveaways, and candy bags. Invite family, friends, and members of the Bronzeville community — this is a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together and celebrate in Christ together.

Join us for our next 21 Days of Fasting.

CityPoint will be fasting for another 21 Days this quarter. Join us on the Daniel Fast, October 7th to October 28th. There will be a daily 6AM morning prayer throughout the fast. Join us on Sunday, October 6th for a Fast orientation. Sign up for the Spiritual Warfare Fast here.

 

The Single’s Ministry will host “Verses & Vibes” on October 11th.

Join us for Verses & Vibes: An Interactive Cypher on Dating & Relationships. This will be a night of live music, spoken word, and interactive audience discussions about singleness, dating and relationships. You can sign up here.

 

 

Join CP’s Bible Plan & Book Club this quarter, as we read “Redeeming Your Time” by Jordan Raynor

Read “Redeeming Your Time” independently during the month of October. Additionally, there will be a Bible Plan to accompany the book via the Bible App. Whether you choose to become involved in the Bible Plan, the Book Club, or both, the larger group will meet on Wednesday, October 30, to discuss. Introducing the Re-entry Ministry’s Bible Discussion

On October 16th, the Re-Entry Ministry will offer a space for men to discuss how they can renew and transform their lives through the teachings of the Bible. Furthermore, providing them with resources to assist them in successfully re-entering society and overcoming the challenges that come with navigating life with a record.

At every discussion, employers or organizations that work with this population will share opportunities, services, and resources they can offer. If you’re interested, sign up here.

 

 

CP Kids is seeking additional volunteers! Send us an email if you’re interested.

At CP we love the kids and as we continue to grow our church community upstairs, our CP Kids space is growing rapidly downstairs! We seeks volunteers to help create that same growth and opportunity for the children of our community.
