#22Tuesdays

We’re so happy that you’ve decided to join the #22Tuesdays

Movement!

#22Tuesdays is the convergence of faith and political action, the activation of the gospel to bring

about social change. Join the movement as we engage 1,000 people to commit to the powerful

weapons of prayer and fasting for 22 Tuesdays, petitioning God for new presidential leadership.

The movement will commence June 9th and will end on Election Day, November 3rd.

Every Tuesday, meet us on Instagram and Facebook (@CityPointCC) at noon where Pastor

Demetrius Davis of CityPoint Community Church and other faith leaders and influencers will

lead us in corporate prayer for new presidential leadership. Choose the fast of your choice to

consecrate yourself before God in unity with a body of believers that is seeking righteousness

and justice in government.

More About Fasting

“Is not this the fast that I choose: to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the straps of the

yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and to break every yoke?” (Isaiah 58:6)

Fasting is an essential part of the Christian walk, a way to practice self-denial and consecrate

yourself to God. It not only provides a regular opportunity for spiritual examination and

reorientation, but it is also a valuable means of conserving that increasingly precious commodity

called “time.” The time that is spent over three meals is reclaimed from our busy schedule and

invested more specifically in the kingdom of God, especially in the ministry of prayer. Fasting is

the secret key that unlocks heaven’s door and slams shut the gates of hell.

More About Prayer

“For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the

division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions

of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12)

More than just altering your diet, it is important that you pray and meditate on biblical truths for

your time of fasting and prayer to be most effective. God, and His angels, listen for the word of

God and swiftly perform it (Jeremiah 1:12, Psalm 103:20).
